It’s all systems go for APEC member-economies that will tackle infrastructure concerns of the region through long-term investment and capital market development.

Preparations for the two-day workshop run smoothly, said Junel Ann Divinagracia, executive director of the Iloilo Organizing Committee (IOC).

To ensure the safety of delegates, the Philippine National Police (PNP) alone deployed 2,000 personnel in their respective areas of designation, said Inspector Shella Mae A. Sangrines, spokesperson of the security task group.

More than a thousand security personnel were also deployed by other law enforcement agencies to augment the police strength.

“We are just fine tuning. We are on alert and ready to address any challenges one by one,” said Sangrines. [via Source; Photo credits: JR Delfin]
