It’s the season of fun and beauty once again in the province of Guimaras this summer!
All roads lead to this beautiful and sought after tourist destination when nine lovely ladies coming from the five municipalities of Guimaras province take center stage and compete in the province’s most prestigious annual beauty search, The Mutya ng Guimaras 2018!
The nine candidates vying for the title are Sheyne Ericka Gallentes and Ellen Grace Galaura of Jordan, Kate Maureen Sunga and Krista Marie Viñas of Buenavista, Precious Von Lasquety and Jell Roses Duga of San Lorenzo, Almina Marie Gange and Darra Lorreine Sadsad of Sibunag, and Lyka Mae Camino of Nueva Valencia.

Candidates No. 4 to 6: Ellen Grace Galaura of Jordan, Jell Roses Duga and Precious Von Lasquety and Jell Roses Duga of San Lorenzo
Candidates No. 7 to 9: Kate Maureen Sunga of Buenavista, Almina Marie Gange of Sibunag and Krista Marie Viñas of Buenavista
These lovely Guimarasnons were recently presented to members of Iloilo media and bloggers for a press conference at Seda Atria, where they all showed poise and confidence in answering questions. Provincial tourism officer Liberty Ferrer and tourism officers of each of five municipalities also graced the event to give support to the ladies.
The series of pre-pageant activities are hosted by the 5 municipalities so as to bring Mutya ng Guimaras events nearer to the residents. This is also to give each town the chance to take part in the activities that go with the pageant preparations while showing heir town’s warmth hospitality.

The Search for Mutya ng Guimaras is among the many event highlights of the Manggahan Festival this May 11-22. The coronation night will be on May 18, 2018 at the Provincial Capitol Gymnasium.

April 29 – Festival Costume Competition and Designer Fashion Parade – Buenavista
May 5 – Casual Wear Competition – Sibunag
May 18 – Grand Coronation Night – Provincial Capitol Gym
