The Iloilo Provincial Government has officially opened applications for Batch 31 of the Iskolar sang Iloilo Program (ISIP) for School Year 2026–2027, continuing its long-standing commitment to support marginalized yet deserving students across the province.
The Iskolar sang Iloilo Program is a four- to five-year college scholarship designed to help qualified Ilonggo students pursue higher education in state universities and colleges within Iloilo. The scholarship initiative aims to provide opportunities for students who have the potential to succeed academically but face financial challenges.
The provincial scholarship program traces its roots back to April 29, 1996, when it was approved through Provincial Ordinance No. 20, establishing a sustained effort by the Provincial Government to invest in education and human capital development.
For this year’s intake, 125 scholars will be selected province-wide, with 25 slots allocated for each district.
Who Can Apply
Students who wish to apply must meet the following qualifications:
• Incoming first-year college students with a Senior High School General Weighted Average (GWA) of 90% or higher
• Annual family gross income not exceeding ₱180,000
• Bonafide residents of the Province of Iloilo
• Must have good moral standing in the community
• Must plan to enroll in state universities or colleges within Iloilo Province
Eligible institutions include:
• University of the Philippines Visayas
• West Visayas State University
• Northern Iloilo State University (NISU)
• Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U)
• Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology (ISUFST)
• Passi City College
Scholarship Benefits
Selected scholars will receive various forms of academic support throughout their college journey, including:
• Food and fare allowance
• Learning resource assistance
• OJT allowance
• Thesis allowance
• Latin honor incentives
These benefits are designed to help scholars manage the financial demands of college while encouraging academic excellence.
Application Requirements
Applicants must prepare the following documents:
- Grade 11 Form 138
- Proof of income, which may include:
- Certificate of Indigency issued by the MSWDO
- Income Tax Return (ITR)
- Certificate of Tax Exemption issued by the BIR
- Certificate of Residency issued by the Barangay Captain
- Copy of a valid ID (High School ID)
