For every woman, health is a journey that evolves with time—from the vibrant energy of youth to the wisdom that comes with the later years.
In celebration of Women’s Month, The Medical City (TMC) Iloilo highlights this journey through “Babayinihan,” a premier health conference and empowerment gathering dedicated to the holistic wellness of Ilongga women.
Set to be the first and grandest women’s health conference in Iloilo, Babayinihan 2026 will take place on March 7, 2026 (Saturday) at Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo.
The conference will bring together a diverse panel of women representing the many stages of womanhood—from adolescence and motherhood to career-building and graceful aging. Clinical experts will join representatives from the local government and business sectors to share insights and experiences centered on women’s health and empowerment.
Highlighting the prestigious event is acclaimed actress and women’s advocate Kaye Abad, now based in Cebu. Having experienced firsthand the challenges of balancing career, family, and personal well-being, Abad understands the realities many women face in growing urban communities like Iloilo City.
During the conference, she will share her personal journey on health, life balance, and motherhood—offering relatable insights that encourage women to take charge of their well-being, pursue their aspirations, and thrive in the many roles they embrace.

“Empowerment begins with health. When a woman is healthy, she can lead, nurture, and thrive,” said Dr. Razel Colacion, Chair of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of TMC Iloilo.
“Through Babayinihan, we are creating a space where medical expertise meets real-life stories. We want every Ilongga to feel that she is not alone in her health journey and that TMC Iloilo is her partner every step of the way,” she added.
The Babayinihan campaign also highlights TMC Iloilo’s specialized Women’s Health Center services, which include advanced screenings, maternity care, menopause management, and specialized surgical procedures.
By combining clinical excellence with community-driven initiatives, TMC Iloilo reinforces its role as a trusted healthcare partner for women in Western Visayas.
As the region celebrates Women’s Month, Babayinihan stands as a tribute to the strength, resilience, and heart of every Ilongga. More than just a conference, it is a movement toward a future where every woman is empowered to live her healthiest and most fulfilling life.
The event is open to all Ilongga women. To register or learn more, visit the TMC Iloilo Facebook page.
