Cornelius Magnate Engagement & Consulting, in partnership with the Iloilo Business Club, Inc., recently held Serious Business Talk, a full-day executive forum that gathered business owners, senior executives, and industry practitioners to discuss critical issues shaping enterprises in Western Visayas.
The forum tackled interconnected topics such as customer experience (CX), succession planning, intellectual property (IP), data privacy, and reputational risk—areas increasingly seen as essential to sustainable business growth and governance.
Serving as moderator and lead facilitator was Ken Lerona, Principal Consultant, Founder and President of Cornelius Magnate Engagement & Consulting. Lerona framed the discussions around the importance of building strong systems that enable organizations to deliver consistent customer experiences while safeguarding long-term enterprise value.
The morning session, “Building a Holistic Ilonggo Branded Experience Mindset,” explored how customer experience functions as enterprise infrastructure. Speakers examined how service quality is shaped by operational systems, leadership discipline, and technology.
Among the speakers were Lcid Crescent Fernandez of Prometheus – The Prominent Enterprise, who discussed planning systems and technology that support service consistency; Gabriel Lorenzo J. Garcia of Romac Visayas Services, Inc., who focused on frontline execution; and Reynard Buga-ay of AyalaLand VisMin, who spoke on customer experience within real estate developments—from estate planning to long-term property operations.

The afternoon session, “Safeguarding Enterprise Values Across Generations: IP, Succession, and Reputation,” focused on continuity and protection strategies for businesses.
Ed T. Reyes III of ETRIII Law discussed legal structures that help preserve enterprise value. The intellectual property segment featured Nestor Jeremy Moreno and Karen Anne Vega, while succession planning discussions were led by Gelie Rose P. Famillaran-Naciongayo and Kchyrziahshayne Dyñelle V. Dinopol, joined by panelists Mae-Z Clarito and Camille Fuentes.
The data privacy segment was led by Juanito Balasote III, with panelists Jan Renzo Besa, Athena Gabrielle Eguia Julabar, Nestor Jeremy Moreno, and Noel Christopher Belleza.

Also joining the forum was the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines through Marianne Bebit, Field Operations In-Charge for Western Visayas. Bebit emphasized the importance of intellectual property protection as a key business concern with direct implications for growth, distinctiveness, and long-term continuity.
For participants, the forum underscored a central message: customer trust, governance discipline, and continuity planning must now be addressed together in modern enterprise management.
Based in Iloilo, Cornelius Magnate Engagement & Consulting continues to develop forums and advisory platforms that address operational, strategic, and governance challenges facing regional enterprises across Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
