Central Philippine University (CPU) will hold its Research and Innovation Week, RESONATE 2026, from April 14 to 17, 2026, under the theme: “Echoing Research Outputs, Upholding Ethics, and Amplifying Innovation Impact.”
The four-day event highlights CPU’s commitment to advancing research, fostering innovation, and translating knowledge into societal and economic gains. As the university’s flagship platform, RESONATE 2026 will showcase research outputs, technopreneurship initiatives, and collaborative projects from faculty, students, startups, and research centers.
The event is expected to bring together CPU’s academic researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, industry stakeholders, and members of the innovation and startup community.
Among the key highlights are the 23rd Faculty Research Symposium, the 20th Student Research Symposium, 10th year Research Ethics Review Board Anniversary featuring oral and poster presentations of ongoing and completed studies. These will be complemented by innovation and technology exhibits, a technopreneurship demo day, and reverse pitching sessions that aim to connect real-world challenges with research-based solutions.
The program will open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the research and innovation exhibits at the Alumni Promenade and Concert Park. This will be followed by a series of academic and collaborative activities, including a Graduate Studies Research Colloquium, research ethics integrity day, and engineering design competitions held across various venues on campus.
Networking and knowledge exchange sessions are also scheduled to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, foster the sharing of ideas, and facilitate meaningful discussions among participants.
Aligned with CPU’s mission of providing Exemplary Christian Education for Life (EXCEL), the event aims to strengthen the university’s research culture. Specifically, RESONATE 2026 seeks to increase research visibility and publication outputs, promote innovation-driven solutions to real-world challenges, and expand technology transfer and commercialization efforts.
The celebration will conclude with an awards ceremony recognizing winners for outstanding research and innovation contributions, followed by a closing program.
RESONATE 2026 is organized by the CPU Office of the Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension (OVPRDE) in collaboration with University Research Center (URC), Research Ethics Regulatory Board (RERB) CPUGAD Technology Business Incubator (TBI) and with the support of the appointed RESONATE Steering Committee.
