This was assured by DPWH Reg. Dir. Edilberto Tayao after Ilonggo Senate President Franklin M. Drilon ordered the removal of all electrical and telco wires at the Benigno S. Aquino Avenue or the diversion road here.

The road is undergoing a multi-million peso rehabilitation and widening project and by June this year, all the wires running along side and across the road must be removed, Tayao said.

Similarly, Panay Electric Company (PECO) has finished removing all their remaining electrical posts along the street and transferred these along the side of the widened street from six to 10 lanes.

Tayao said they are also removing all the billboards along the diversion street as enforcement of the building code. Similarly, all spaghetti electrical wires at Calle Real are to be removed soon. By LydiaC. Pendon
