Ilonggos will enjoy free movies with families and friends every Friday night at Sunburst Park, along JM Basa Street, Iloilo City.
The Iloilo City Government is making the restored historic park a venue for entertainment to the public starting September 6. Showtime starts at 6:00 PM, if weather permits.
Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said this is one way of making people converge in the park, enjoy the movies with family and friends, and bring life to the downtown area.
“I am happy to grant this kind of entertainment to you, my beloved Ilonggos. We will be showing different genres of movies for everyone to enjoy,” Treñas said.
The city will install LED wall and stereo system at the park to give the public much-enhanced viewing experience.
Movies that will be shown will be something of interest, popular and action-packed.
