Homecoming of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo

November 12, 2020 is a red-letter day in Iloilo City as the Ilonggos roll out the red carpet for the homecoming of Miss Universe 2020 Rabiya Occena Mateo!

The Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc. (IFFI), with the full support of Mayor Jerry P. Trenas and the Iloilo City Government, is pleased to announce the schedule of the much-anticipated homecoming of Ms. Rabiya Occena Mateo, Miss Iloilo-Universe 2020, and the newly-crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2020.

Ms. Mateo will be in Iloilo City on November 12-13, 2020. Her schedule of activities will include the following:
November 12, 2020, Thursday: motorcade and courtesy calls with government officials (morning) and press conference (afternoon).
November 13, 2020, Friday: community outreach (morning), ceremonial lighting of the Ilonggo Christmas Parol of Hope (afternoon), and IFFI Dinner (evening).

The complete details of the route of the motorcade will be announced separately, but this will include the major streets and districts of Iloilo City. IFFI is encouraging Ilonggos to wear Red and to give Rabiya a warm welcome while maintaining proper social distancing and observing the necessary health protocols.

These events are made through the efforts of the Miss Iloilo Committee of IFFI, headed by its Chairpersons Ms. Sara Pena and Ms. Beverly Rosales and Director Kevin Piamonte, together with the Iloilo City Government, with Tourism Officer Ms. Junel Ann Divinagracia as Lead Person.

IFFI, headed by its Chairman Mr. Rito Carlos Pena and President Atty. Jobert Penaflorida, would like to thank the Miss Universe-Philippines Organization and all its generous benefactors for making this homecoming possible.
