The transfer of International Builders Corporation’s (IBC) power source to MORE Electric and Power Corporation was successfully completed on January 18, 2026.
IBC is the first consumer in MORE Power’s extended franchise area to officially transfer its electric power line from another distribution utility.
The Migration Ceremony was attended by MORE Power President and CEO Mr. Roel Z. Castro, International Builders Corporation Owner Mr. Alfonso Tan, Vice President for Operations Mr. Alvin L. Tan, and Pavia, Iloilo Vice Mayor Mr. Edsel G. Gerochi.
The migration of IBC’s power supply to MORE Power, a historic first in the country, was completed within just a few hours and carried out without any delays.
Mr. Castro shared that this milestone marks the beginning of proving that another distribution utility can effectively serve municipalities for the benefit of consumers. It also demonstrates that consumers have been anticipating the services of MORE Power.
“This ceremony is just the beginning. We are very excited to cater to more consumers in Pavia, Iloilo, proving that nothing is impossible with us. Serving the consumers will be our topmost priority here at MORE Power. I am very thankful to IBC for trusting us with this commitment,” said Mr. Roel Z. Castro, President and CEO of MORE Power.
It can be recalled that the expansion of MORE Power was prompted by the clamor of constituents from the Second and Fourth Districts of Iloilo, which led Congressman Michael Gorriceta and Congressman Braeden John Biron to file the expanded franchise bill in Congress on September 22, 2021.
This development shows that MORE Power is fully prepared to expand its operations in the province of Iloilo starting early this year.
