The Iloilo City Government is now looking for more health care workers who will work in the quarantine facilities of the metropolis.

City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas announced in his official Facebook page that the city will be hiring 36 nurses and 14 doctors to augment the city’s health workforce, who will attend to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients in isolation.

“On the rising cases of COVID-19 in the city, the Iloilo City Government is in need of 36 nurses and 14 doctors to attend duties in our quarantine facilities until December subject for extension when needed,” Treñas posted.

All interested applicants may send their resume or biodata, application letter, with contact number and other necessary documents through email at iloilocho@yahoo.com and ATTENTION to Dr. Annabelle Tang.

“We will be reaching out to qualified applicants. Madamu guid nga salamat. Batò Iloilo,” Treñas added.

As of August 16, Iloilo City has 450 active cases of COVID-19 with 281 patients isolated in quarantine facilities. The city government is also preparing these health workers for the arrival of more locally stranded individuals and repatriated overseas Filipinos in the coming days.
