Iloilo Paraw Regatta Festival 2015, next year’s edition of the oldest traditional craft event in Asia, was formally launched on Friday, November 28 with the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Iloilo City Government and the Iloilo Paraw Regatta Foundation, Inc. (IPRFI).

Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog is upbeat with next year’s week-long celebration, which is scheduled on February 15-22, 2015.

“The 43rd celebration of the festival is a manifestation of the unity that we have, especially with the private sectors,” said Mabilog.

It will be a banner year for the festival, added IPRFI Chairman Manuel Villa, because of the city’s hosting of ministerial meetings of the 2015 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.
