Iloilo City will be hosting more giant gatherings in March, boosting the metropolis’ growing reputation as ideal convention destination and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) center.

Some 10,000 city and municipal councilors will converge for the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) End-term National Assembly at Iloilo Convention Center on March 7-9.

Some 2,500 city and municipal civil registrars, barangay captains, barangay treasurers, barangay secretaries, members of barangay council, hospital and health officials, partners and stakeholders in civil registration in government and private sectors will attend the 2nd Visayas-Mindanao Consultative Workshop on Barangay Civil Registration System (BCRS) at Punta Villa Resort on March 14-18.

Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog hoped the hosting of big events will provide Ilonggos with job opportunities every time tourists visit the city.
