JoyRide, the country’s largest and leading mobility app, officially began its driver onboarding process in Western Visayas as it prepares to launch JoyRide Car and Taxi Cab services in Iloilo City. This expansion marks another milestone in the company’s mission to provide safe, convenient, and reliable transportation options not only in Metro Manila but across the Philippines.
From October 15 to 19, the JoyRide team held an on-site application and assessment event at GT Hotel Iloilo, where numerous interested drivers submitted their requirements to join the growing JoyRide network.
According to Menard Umali, JoyRide’s Senior Vice President for Business Development, the move to Iloilo is part of the company’s broader goal to “empower the Pilipinong Masipag, while enhancing commuter mobility in key cities outside the capital.”
“One of the major benefits of joining JoyRide is the P4,000 initial top-up for new drivers,” Umali said in a statement. “This can be used for their first bookings or fuel expenses, so they can start earning without having to shell out from their own pockets – a truly hassle-free start to their journey with us.”
He added that JoyRide only takes a 10% commission rate, notably lower than that of other ride-hailing platforms, giving drivers a fairer share of their earnings.
Aside from the in-person registration, there are many ways for interested applicants to send in their application: by downloading the JoyRide Driver app and tapping “Apply now”, through the pre-registration link: https://bit.ly/JoyRideCarPreReg, or by visiting the JoyRide Superapp Facebook page for more details.
As JoyRide gears up for its official Iloilo City launch, anticipation is growing among local drivers eager to take part in the platform’s expansion. For more updates, the public may visit JoyRide Superapp on Facebook or download the JoyRide Superapp from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
