Lambunaonon tested positive for COVID-19

Lambunao Covid-19 Updates.

The local government of Lambunao, Iloilo confirmed on Tuesday, June 16 that one of their residents tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Lambunao LGU Information Center posted in their social media page the news after receiving the report from the Department of Health Western Visayas.

The patient, who is currently based and employed in Iloilo City, is asymptomatic and now quarantined in a facility.

According to the latest report from DOH-6 the patient labeled as WV#151 is a 22-year-old police officer from Lambunao but assigned in Mandurriao Police Station.

Mayor Jerry Trenas also confirmed the report, adding that he is one of two police officers under Mandurriao Police Station assigned outside the premises of Western Visayas Medical Center (WVMC), the accredited COVID-19 hospital and sub-national laboratory of the region.

DOH reported a total of 6 new cases, bringing the total COVID-19 infections in the region to 153.

The LGU is already done with contact tracing and the family members of the patient is scheduled for confirmatory testing using RT-PCR.
