Ayala Group pours support for oil spill-affected families

Philippine Airforce officers and other personnel help in unloading of food packs.

The Ayala Group continues to pour much-needed assistance for families affected by oil spill and some residents in Iloilo City barangays.

Last July 30, an aircraft of Philippine Airforce landed in Iloilo airport to transport 1,500 Fortified Meal Packs donated by Ayala Foundation and Ayala Coop. These nutritious food packs came from Rise Against Hunger Philippines, a hunger relief non-profit organization that coordinates the packaging and distribution of food and other aid to vulnerable communities.

Each of these Fortified Meal pack is composed of rice, soy, dried vegetables and fruits enriched with the vitamins and minerals, and is enough to feed a family of 8 to 12 members.

AC Energy Philippines (ACEPH) distributed these food packs to oil spill affected residents of Bo. Obrero in Lapuz, and other barangays in Mandurriao and Jaro districts.

Aside from food assistance, AC Energy and Ayala Foundation will also donate face masks for residents in the barangays. Other Ayala business units, namely, Ayala Business Club, Seda Hotels, Globe Telecom and AC Motors, also helped in providing logistical support for these donations.
