SM City Iloilo Extends Assistance to Bolilao Fire Victims

SM City Iloilo extended relief assistance to the victims of the March 22, 2019 fire that struck Brgy. Bolilao in Mandurriao district in Iloilo City.

The beneficiaries were given Kalinga packs of SM Markets courtesy of SM Foundation Inc.(SMFI). The packs, composed of food items, are immediate relief assistance for the victims who are temporarily housed in the elementary school of the barangay.

The turnover was done in the Bolilao covered court last March 23 and was conducted by SM employee volunteers from Marketing, Security, SM Markets and Operations department led by Assistant Mall Manager Darrel John Defensor, CRS Manager Arjelyn Dable and Public Relations Manager Troy Camarista.

The initiative is part of the company’s effort to be in touch with the communities it serve and as its corporate social responsibility in making sure that the mall is involved in the undertakings of the community, especially in times of need of those who are struck with calamities such as this.
