Another iconic landmark soon to rise in Iloilo City: The Iloilo Convention Center.
The state-of-the-art convention center is set to transform the Western Visayas Region into a word-class business tourism, convention and events destination. This grand new setting, located at the Iloilo Business Park in Mandurriao, affirms the vibrancy of Iloilo as the next premiere city.
Cultural Inspirations
The convention center is designed by Ilonggo architect Willy V. Coscolluela of WVC Architects. It has 15 exterior fins that evoke the beauty of Iloilo’s colorful Paraw sail. Its glass walls feature the abstract designs of the Dinagyang Festival. Also, indigenous stones will pepper the facade and interiors of the building.
Exceptional Features
The convention center can accommodate over 3,700 guests. The main convention hall will be at the ground level, and the eight function rooms at the second floor, with state of the art audio and video equipment. It will also house a kitchen designed to international standards, and a museum/souvenir shop.
Strategic location
Iloilo Convention Center will be a part of 54-hectare Iloilo Business Park, and near the community’s hotels, BPO offices and retail and leisure attractions.
