TIIC-Molo offers free livelihood trainings

The Iloilo City Government through the Technical Institute of Iloilo City (TIIC)-Molo Campus is now accepting applicants for the free livelihood trainings.

These are Massage Therapy, Basic Computer Literacy, Beauty Care, Cookery, Baking and Bar Tending.

Residents who are 18 years old and above whether out of school youth, person with disabilities (PWDs), adult or senior citizen can avail of the free trainings that the City Hall provides, said TIIC administrator Mathilde Octavio.

“The trainings will be helpful especially to those who would like to start their own business using their skills. Most of the applicants enrolled in massage therapy, this is because when you start your own, you don’t need expensive equipment, all you need is just an oil,” said Octavio.

Successful trainees will be provided with National Compliance (NC) II certificate by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Octavio added that the TESDA also gave P400,000-worth of scholarship for construction painting which will benefit 50 persons.
