Bringing essential government services closer to residents, the Iloilo City Government officially launched the Atipan-on-the-Move Caravan at the Arevalo Gym in Barangay Calaparan, marking the start of a series of community outreach activities across the city’s barangays.

Led by Mayor Raisa Treñas, together with members of the City Council, the initiative aims to make government assistance more accessible by bringing various City Hall services directly to communities.

Treñas emphasized that the caravan fulfills the city government’s commitment to ensuring that residents can conveniently access public services without having to travel to different government offices.

“That’s why we make sure nga ang tanan nga programa pwede madala sa aton Atipan-on-the-Move,” the mayor said.

Over 1,000 service registrations recorded

The kickoff caravan recorded 1,067 registrations for free government services offered by participating city offices.

Based on the program’s official dashboard, 211 service transactions had been completed, while 856 remained pending at the time of reporting.

Bringing City Hall closer to every Ilonggo

The Atipan-on-the-Move Caravan expands the reach of the city’s Atipan initiative by delivering assistance and frontline services directly to barangay residents.

Through the mobile outreach program, residents can access multiple government services in one location, reducing the need to visit separate offices and making assistance more convenient, particularly for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and families seeking government support.

The launch in Arevalo serves as the starting point for similar outreach activities that will be conducted in other barangays across Iloilo City.

With Atipan-on-the-Move, the city government aims to strengthen community-based public service delivery and ensure that more Ilonggos benefit from programs designed to address their everyday needs. (Photo: Iloilo City Public Information Office)
