While in the town of Ajuy for an official travel, Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. issued Executive Order No. 260 placing an entire province of Iloilo under Alert Level I until May 15, 2022.
This is pursuant to IATF Resolution No. 167-A Series of 2022 which placed the province to a lower alert level status.

Public transportation, including aviation and maritime, can operate on a 100 percent seating capacity.
All private offices and workplaces as well as government agencies and instrumentalities may operate at full 100 percent capacity. They may continue to adopt flexible and alternative work arrangements as deemed appropriate.
Wearing of face masks is still required whether outdoors or indoors both in public and private establishments.
Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 should inform their close contacts for quarantine and symptoms monitoring.
Testing protocols should be implemented consisted with national guidelines, particularly for those unvaccinated or have higher exposure risk.
RT-PCR testing is recommended for persons above 60 years old, those with comorbidities and priority Group A1 or healthcare workers. Testing is not recommended for asymptomatic close contacts or for screening asymptomatic individuals.
Antigen testing is recommended for symptomatic individuals in case the RT-PCR is not available.
The city/municipal mayors are authorized to impose granular lockdown subject to epidemiological parameters stated in the executive order.
As of April 29, 2022, total confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Province is 45,143 wherein 342 are active.
For the two-week period from April 10 to April 23, 2022, the daily average of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the province is 4.57, with an average daily attack rate of 0.22, a two-week growth rate of -60.49 percent.
