Property giant Megaworld Corporation, through its hospitality arm Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, is set to open Belmont Hotel Iloilo, its third hotel development within the 72-hectare Iloilo Business Park.
Strategically located along Festive Walk Parade next to Saint Dominique, the 12-story hotel stands just a short walk from the Iloilo Convention Center and Festive Walk Iloilo. It features 405 rooms in various layouts, including One-Bedroom Suites (48 sqm), Premiere Rooms (30 sqm), Twin Rooms (24 sqm), and Queen Rooms (24 sqm).
The hotel also offers specially designed rooms for guests with mobility needs, as well as themed Kids Rooms connected to another room—a first-of-its-kind concept in Iloilo that provides a more immersive experience for families traveling with children.
A refreshing stay in Iloilo Business Park
Each suite at Belmont Hotel Iloilo is designed to deliver a unique cultural experience, showcasing curated artworks by local artists that highlight iconic Iloilo landmarks, infused with the nostalgic charm of the 1950s. This concept reinforces Iloilo Business Park’s identity as a center for arts and culture.
“We are excited to offer a truly refreshing experience for everyone at Belmont Hotel Iloilo, and this chapter marks an important milestone in our commitment to help boost tourism in the Visayas,” said Cleofe Albiso, managing director of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts.
With the addition of Belmont Hotel Iloilo, Megaworld will have a total of 880 room keys within Iloilo Business Park, accounting for nearly 25 percent of the city’s hotel room inventory. The township is already home to two other major hotels: Richmonde Hotel Iloilo with 149 rooms and Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo with 326 rooms.
A standout addition to the skyline
Belmont Hotel Iloilo introduces a distinctive architectural design inspired by the vibrant spirit of Miami’s Art Deco district. Inside, guests are welcomed by a spacious, light-filled lobby featuring a festive blend of mid-century modern aesthetics and Iloilo’s rich cultural elements, combining modern finishes with vintage and retro accents.
Among its standout features is a mini art gallery located on the second-floor amenity area, which will host a rotating showcase of works by renowned local artists and personalities. Adjacent to the gallery is a high-ceiling grand ballroom that can accommodate up to 310 guests in a theater setup or 300 in a banquet arrangement. The ballroom can also be divided into four smaller function halls for more intimate events.
The hotel also offers meeting rooms with breakout areas suited for various business functions.
At the third-floor amenity area, guests can enjoy a swimming pool and kiddie pool, complemented by a pool lounge and male and female changing rooms equipped with saunas. Wellness facilities include a fitness center and private spa rooms designed for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Dining options include three food and beverage outlets led by Belmont Café, an all-day dining restaurant that features modern Ilonggo specialties presented in global formats, with seating for up to 120 guests. The hotel also houses Zabana Bar at the lobby lounge and the Float Bar & Grill at the poolside.
At the heart of a vibrant township
Belmont Hotel Iloilo is surrounded by key attractions within Iloilo Business Park, including the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (ILOMOCA), the Brandy Museum, and Science XPdition, all located within Festive Walk Iloilo.
The township also features residential condominiums, modern office towers such as Enterprise One and Two, retail and dining hubs, and Wolfgang’s Steakhouse Iloilo, the city’s first branch of the internationally known steakhouse.
