National Children's Month Celebration in Iloilo City with Bata Ako PH.

Bata Ako Ph, together with the Iloilo City Government and Office of Councilor Love Baronda, is celebrating World Children’s day by participating in the biggest emotional intelligence event in history – reaching over 1.5 million people, in 3k+ cities with 10k+ volunteers, in 200+ countries around the world. It’s called a POP-UP Festival for emotions, wellbeing, and children’s rights for a better world.

Every year, November 20th is celebrated all around the world as World Children’s Day. This day was established by the United Nations to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide and improving children’s welfare.

In partnership with UNICEF World Children’s Day and Six Seconds, POP-UP Festival is a free event that is in line with the UN’s objectives and UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Global non-profit, Six Seconds is proud to be SDG Action Partner supporting individuals and organizations to work towards SDG solutions.

By engaging volunteers from around the world, the celebration fosters dialogue about essential skills for children and adults to develop self-awareness and wellbeing.

We believe that emotional development is part of a child’s wellbeing and we are playing a part in creating a positive environment for children in our community by being part of such an event. Similarly, many organizations around the world have come together to make a difference in their community.

Glory Moralidad, Director of Bata Ako Ph, said “Children are growing at a faster rate. They act accordingly to what they’re noticing or reacting to. They adapt and develop ideas and personality traits based on their emotional experiences. We need to equip them with better emotional education. It’s the most essential skill for their success in life.”

The Festival is in line with celebrating National Children’s Month. Various organizations and volunteers are working to make this event possible.

The POP-UP Festival will educate and inspire both children & adults to develop and practice emotional intelligence – the learnable, measurable skills that fuel wellbeing and support a world where children’s rights are fully realized.

This event won’t be possible without the help of the City Government, Office of Councilor Love Baronda, JCI Iloilo Ilang Ilang, Department of Health Regional Office VI, ICAG Volunteer FIRE Brigade, Robinsons Pavia, Megalith Nu Sigma Phi Society, Iloilo Bloggers Society, Ilonggo Animation Festival, LOOB Inc., Iloilo City Health Office, Provincial Health Office, Globe Telecom, and SOS Children’s Village Iloilo.
