SM City Iloilo became the stage for a powerful and heartfelt campaign as Uratex Monoblock brought its nationwide initiative, “Bawal ang Marupok,” to Western Visayas. The event combined product education, engaging storytelling, and community interaction—reminding Ilonggos that when it comes to life and furniture, strength and quality should never be compromised.

Leading the program was Mr. Boneve Cena, Uratex Area Operations Head for Western Visayas, who warmly welcomed the audience and shared the company’s continued commitment to delivering dependable, Filipino-made furniture solutions. His message set the tone for a meaningful event that went beyond product promotions.

Taking the spotlight next was Ms. Angela dela Vega, Marketing Manager of Uratex Monoblock. She discussed the trusted credentials behind their best-selling chairs, which include a 200KG seat load capacity, BPS (Bureau of Philippine Standards) Certification, and ISO Level 5 Certification—the highest standard of plastic furniture safety and durability in the country. She stressed the importance of buying quality-tested products, especially for families, businesses, and community spaces where safety is non-negotiable.

The highlight of the event, however, came in the form of “Tibay Talks” featuring Ilonggo actor Christian Vasquez and his son Tonton, who are now going viral as a dynamic vlogging duo. The father-and-son pair shared real talk and unforgettable stories about how to stay strong, choose wisely, and rise above every marupok moment—drawing powerful parallels between life challenges and the reliability of Uratex Monoblock products. Their authentic, humorous, and heartwarming segment left a lasting impression on the Ilonggo mall goers.

Rounding off the event was Mr. Peter John Gorantes, Sales Manager for Visayas, who delivered the closing remarks. He thanked the Iloilo community for their warm reception and reaffirmed Uratex’s mission to promote consumer awareness and provide Filipino households with high-quality, long-lasting furniture.

The “Bawal ang Marupok” campaign, which marks Uratex Monoblock’s 30th anniversary, continues to resonate across the country—not just through strong product features, but through conversations that encourage resilience, wise decision-making, and long-term value.
Because in life, as in chairs, Bawal Ang Marupok.
