DILG lists Iloilo as eGov Awards finalist

Iloilo province will vie for the first eGov Awards of Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines.

The eGov Awards is the first and most prestigious recognition to be given by the ICT sector for LGUs with exemplary performance in empowering its Public Customers and Business. In November 2012, the first awardees will be honored during the 5th NICP National ICT Summit 2012 in the City of Sta. Rosa, Laguna hosted by its ICT Council.

Information and Communication Technology Management Division (ICTMD) chief Salvacion Sibonga gladly announced Thursday that the eGov Awards Secretariat informed her through e-mail that the province’s entries for the two categories were included as finalists in the awarding scheduled on November 23 at Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna.

It has two categories, namely “Best in eGov Customer Empowerment”(G2C) Award and the “Best in eGov Business Empowerment”(G2B) Award. (PNA)
