The Provincial Government of Guimaras has doubled its efforts to curb the spread of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by limiting the outbound travels of its citizens to Iloilo City.

Governor Samuel T. Gumarin issued Executive Order No. 38 series of 2020 that aims to mitigate the spread of the virus which is now a global pandemic.

“Kun mahimo pa lang, ipabilin naton nga COVID-free ang aton probinsiya,” Gumarin said.

He also appealed to the Guimarasnons to cooperate and abide by the protocols and measures set by the local government and the Department of Health (DOH) to prevent the spread of the virus.

“Bululigan naton ini tanan. Sundon ang panugyan sang inyo gobyerno kag sang mga health experts. Indi lang ini proteksyon niyo. Proteksyon man ini sang inyo pamilya kag sang bug-os nga Guimarasnons,” he added.

Effective March 24, 2020, only the residents of Guimaras who have Outbound/Quarantine Pass will be allowed to travel to the City of Iloilo.
