Computer-Delivered IELTS Test is now in Iloilo City!
IDP Philippines has partnered with McCare Global Consulting Inc. to officially open the new Computer-Delivered International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Shared Lab in Jaro, Iloilo City on Friday, January 20.
The new IDP CD IELTS Iloilo is located at McCare Global Consulting Inc. Iloilo Office, 402 Arguelles Bldg. (across Robinsons Place Jaro), E. Lopez St., Jaro, Iloilo City.
IDP-McCare Shared IELTS Lab opening was graced by members of the local media and b/vloggers, who were given the opportunity to experience taking Computer-delivered IELTS through a test simulation.
Iloilo Bloggers Society members had the chance to experience taking IELTS test during the opening.IELTS is a globally-recognized test on English proficiency with three million test-takers each year, and accepted by more than 11,000 organizations all over the world.
This IDP-McCare IELTS Shared Lab in Iloilo City is the second shared lab in Visayas and the eighth Computer Delivered IELTS Lab of IDP Philippines.
“Iloilo City has always been key city for IELTS as it is home to many people who aspire to work, study, or migrate abroad. We started administering the test here many years ago and we saw the numbers of test takers increased year on year,” said Lara Jane Mendoza, Country Marketing Manager of IDP Philippines.
“IDP has more than 1,500 test locations across 56 countries including more than 200 CD IELTS Labs, and now we’re adding one in Iloilo,” she added.
McCare Global Consulting Chief Operations Officer Winston Saddul expressed his gratitude for IDP Philippines for partnering with his company for its second CD IELTS lab in the country.
“Thank you very much IDP for giving us the opportunity to provide you our second testing center in the Philippines,” he said in a recorded video message.
With the opening of the IDP-McCare IELTS Shared Lab in Iloilo, more Ilonggos will now have access to the world’s leading high-stakes English language proficiency test for study, work, and migration, and be a step closer to achieving their life goals abroad.
“Even though it’s a computer-delivered IELTS, it’s still the same IELTS Test that we have had eversince 30 years ago. Because we want to improve the test experience of takers and stakeholders, we have enhanced into computer delivered IELTS,” said Lorrie Bentoso, IDP Test Administrator.
“It’s sill the same IELTS Testing, same scoring system, same four components being tested: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking,” she added.
While the paper and pencil test IELTS is only scheduled once a month, computer-delivered IELTS can be had from Wednesday until Sunday in the Iloilo Shared Lab. Test takers have the option to take it in the morning or afternoon sessions.
“It is very convenient for test takers to take it only in one day. They don’t have to go back and forth to the test venue and stay in the hotel,” Bentoso said.
Result is also faster in computer-delivered IELTS as test takers can get it in 3 to 5 days, she emphasized. They can also book their tests at home through IDP website and go to the center to take the test.
Aside from CD IELTS Test, McCare Global Consulting is also offering Immigration Consulting, NCLEX Review and Processing, VisaScreen Processing, and IELTS Review and Booking.
