The Iloilo City Government will bring its frontline services closer to communities through the Atipan-on-the-Move Caravan starting September 25 in Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo.
The caravan is designed to make government assistance more accessible and convenient for Ilonggos, particularly those who may find it difficult to personally visit City Hall and different government offices to avail of needed services.
Under the initiative, residents can access a wide range of assistance covering social welfare, health, education, livelihood, employment, civil registration, legal concerns, infrastructure, senior citizens and persons with disabilities, business services, and animal welfare.
Among the services available are assistance for funeral and burial, education support, livelihood skills training, social services, general inquiries, and barangay concerns through the Atipan Center and Welfare and Help Desk.
The Infrastructure and Facility Conservation Office (IFCO) will also accommodate barangay infrastructure and other community concerns.
For civil registration, residents may avail of birth certificate processing, petition for correction, and late registration, while National ID registration will also be facilitated.
The Legal Desk will provide free notarial services and legal consultation.
For social and sectoral concerns, the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) will offer assistance through its help desk, including services for Solo Parents and SoloKonek, as well as the Community Kitchen.
Senior citizens and persons with disabilities may access assistance from the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) and Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), including registration, benefits orientation, senior citizen benefits, and PWD ID assistance.
Health services will also be available through the City Health Office, including free medical and dental consultations, laboratory tests, free medicines through Uswag Pharmacy under MediSen+ program, and other health-related assistance.
For Ilonggos looking for employment or livelihood opportunities, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) will offer Assistance to Employment (ATE), skills training enlistment, livelihood assistance, and UswAgPs grooming and beauty services.
The Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion (LEDIP) Office will cater to small entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners through business permit and registration assistance, MSME consultation, and the Uswag Negosyo Academy.
The City Veterinary Office will likewise be part of the caravan, offering anti-rabies vaccination, pet consultations, and registration for neutering services.
