Iloilo City to hold vaccination for kids on weekend

Iloilo City vaccination for kids

Iloilo City Government will conduct vaccination for children 5-11 years old against Covid-19 this weekend Feb. 19-20.

Mayor Jerry Treñas said moving the schedule will give time to those who have work on weekdays.

“Next week, we will not have vaccinations for Monday and Tuesday so that we will be open Saturday and Sunday to allow the parents to bring their children. Let’s all campaign for more children to be vaccinated. We will accept children regardless of address,” he said.

Three mega sites at SM City, Robinsons-Jaro and Megaworld catered to kids aged 5-11 who are city residents and non-residents.

The City Government started the rollout Monday upon receiving over the weekend its first batch of 1,000 vials good for 10,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines for ages 5-11.

Treñas encouraged parents and guardians to have their children vaccinated to boost immunity and protection against Covid-19 and prevent severe infection. (Iloilo City PIO)
