Ilonggo students top Teachers Board Exam

Professional Regulation Commission has released recently the results of September 2012 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), and six students from Iloilo schools made it to the list of topnotchers.

Ruthell Moreno, a summa cum laude graduate of West Visayas State University (WVSU), placed No. 5 in the elementary level with rating of 87.40%.

Aside from Moreno, other WVSU graduates who topped the LET – Elementary are Mayshel Love Laspiñas who placed 6th with 87.20% while Harriet Batisla-on Torrico and Elisha Beria Flores placed 9th with 86.60% rating.

Secondary level examinees Ariel Basal Mabansag of UP-Visayas was 5th with 88.20 rating while Juliet Bigbig Calinao of WVSU rated 88% to place 6th overall.

A total of 25,136 elementary teachers out of 50,997 examinees (49.29%) and 20,834 secondary teachers out of 47,892 examinees (43.50%) passed the teachers board exam given last September 30 in 22 testing centers nationwide.
