The Queen of All Media, Presidential sister Kris Aquino savored the Ilonggos’ gastronomic treat exclaiming “it’s more delicious in Iloilo City.”
Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog said Kris’ praises and good perceptions of the metropolis is a boost to the city’s tourism promotions.
The TV host expressed satisfaction on mouth-watering Ilonggo cuisines and delicious in a flavorful feature in her show KrisTV aired on ABS-CBN channel Thursday morning.
“If you come to Iloilo, be ready to eat the most delicious food,” stressed the famous celebrity.
Kris got a taste of La Paz batchoy popularly served by fast-food restos Ted’s and Deco’s, Netong’s inside public market and heritage house Camiña Balay nga Bato in Arevalo district.
She was also enticed by Tatoy’s Manokan’s native lechon manok and pancit molo recipe perfected by South San Jose village chief Eliezer “Kap Ising” Villanueva.
Kris was likewise charmed by the sweets of Biscocho Haus with its toasted bread topped with milk and sugar or garlic, barquillos, polvoron and butterscotch which is now one of the flavors of an ice cream brand.
Amazed by the bread store here, the top individual taxpayer cited by the Bureau of Internal Revenue, even hinted of putting up her own bakeshop so her family can have freshly-baked pastries readily available in the morning.
