Metro Iloilo Water district (MIWD) is looking for a new general manager to take over the position vacated by dismissed GM Le Jayme Jalbuena after the Board of Directors sacked him for “loss of trust and confidence.”
In a unanimous decision, the Board ordered Jalbuena’s dismissal to take effect on Friday, February 28, 2014 after the Board, headed by Chairman Dr. Danilo Encarnacion evaluated Jalbuena’s options in serving his90-day suspension starting January 3, 2014.
Without finishing his suspension, Jalbuena was ordered to vacate his position aggravated by the Civil Service Commission ruling on his non-permanent appointment.
Atty. Hans Sayno, MIWD corporate secretary, said that Administrative chief Josephine Amarylis Castro was appointed officer incharge of the office until such time a new general manager is qualified and appointed by the Board.
Castro will submit a list of nominees as GM to the Board within this month.
The five-man members of the Board aside from Encarnacion are Engr. Adrian Moncada, Dr. Sergio Gonzalez, Mrs. Bernadette Castellano and Atty Josephine Abad Caram.
