No Classes in all levels in Iloilo province on December 8

Governor Arthur Defensor has announced suspension of classes in all levels in the province of Iloilo on Monday, December 8.

Provincial Administrator Raul Banias relayed the governor’s announcement in media outlets and social networks.

Dec 8, 2014 6AM: Please be informed that Gov Art Defensor has ordered the suspension of classes at ALL LEVELS both in public and private schools in the Province of Iloilo.


The Province is still under PSWS#1 from Typhoon Ruby and the classrooms are still used as Evacuation Centers.

In the latest weather advisory by PAGASA, Iloilo is still under public storm signal number 1 as Typhoon Ruby continues to batter other parts of the country.

In Iloilo City, Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog clarified that suspension of classes is only applicable to kindergarten level based on Deped guidelines of automatic suspension. Regular classes and work resume Monday.
