Over 500 runners join OneHGS Run 2019 for a cause

More than 500 runners converged in Iloilo Festive Walk Parade on Sunday, March 31 to take part in the OneHGS Color Run 2019.

As early as 5:30AM, family members, friends and employees of Hinduja Global Solutions gathered for the ceremonial gun-start to kick off the event and brought a colorful spectacle to the city.

More than just a run event to promote health among its employees and the surrounding community, the OneHGSRun is also a cause-oriented effort.

Proceeds of the registration were donated to Friends of Cancer Kids Iloilo Foundation, a home-grown, non-profit organization that champions and helps alleviate the condition of kids with cancer.

The event is spearheaded by HGS Iloilo, one of the top employers in the city in the BPO sector, which number close to 2000 employees to date. The company has been steadily expanding over the years, and continuous to maintain its confidence in the Iloilo talent with openings of expanded offices in Ayala Technohub and new offices at the Festive Walk Parade. The company is known for its excellent training program, CSR programs and positive contributions to the Iloilo community.

OneHGS Run is the first of its kind wellness event in the city – where participants not only get to run and flex their muscles for health, but also enjoy the various powdery pigments sprayed to them by the race organizers along the race route.

The event is a clear showcase of the Iloilo spirit of effective collaboration between HGS leaders, partners from the local government and medical professionals, city officials, and venue officers.

Organizers and officials from the HGS Corporate Office, pleased by the successful staging and active participation of the community, promises a repeat of the program next year.
