Pinay racer Pia Boren holds Women with Drive Workshop

Pia Boren, the first Filipina drifter and NASCAR racer, conducted a car care and road safety workshop for women drivers in SM City Iloilo on March 5, 2015.

The workshop entitled “Women with Drive” organized by F&E Family of Stores with partners Goodyear Philippines, SM Supermalls, Krispy Kreme Philippines, Max’s Restaurant and Ford Motors Iloilo was attended by over 100 motoring women in the city and province. The workshop aims to empower and give women drivers confidence on the road.

F&E Group Senior Vice President and CFO Emmanuel Aguillon delivered the opening remarks.
“Get yourselves ready to erase the stereotype that you are or were bad drivers. Not anymore with Women with Drive,” said Aguillon.

Boren offered tips on car care and road safety, and engaged some participants on how to change wheels. Audience were also given time to ask some questions, and were all satisfied with informative answers from the champion racer.

TV Personality Kate Chaves, a car driver herself, ably hosted the workshop which also handed out prizes and certificates for participants.

Aside from the workshop, F&E and Goodyear also sponsored a FREE 10 Point Car Check at the Mall Parking Lot during the day. Motorists driving in had their car’s basic points checked by F&E Goodyear Autocare Certified Mechanics. TirePressure & Tread Wear, Power Steering Fluid, Air Filter, Spark Plugs,Engine Oil, Transmission Fluid, Radiator/Coolant, Brake Pads/Fluid, BatteryTerminal Connection & Water, and Fan/Aircon Belts.
