SEC-Iloilo resumes operations

Securities and Exchange Commission - SEC

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) – Iloilo Extension Office has now resumed operations of all its services.

SEC Iloilo located at Gen. Hughes St., Iloilo City currently operates on a skeleton workforce, from 9AM – 3PM, Monday to Friday after Region VI was placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) to provide the usual services such as Company Registration, releasing of Certificates of Incorporation/ Amendment, Confirmation/Processing of Payment, Receiving of Reports and assisting other SEC-related concerns of walk-in clients.

The Commission’s headquarters within the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Complex in Pasay City reopens today, May 26, 2020 to cater to company registration and monitoring applications that have already been assessed and approved through online processing thru SEC Company Registration and Monitoring Department (CRMD).

They are implementing a four-day workweek, from Monday to Thursday, and shortened operating hours, from 9AM to 4PM, during the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ). In the meantime, the CRMD shall limit its operations to receiving of proof of payment, signed and notarized copies of approved applications, and supplemental documents required during the processing.

In parallel, the SEC have opened payment facilities at its main office in Pasay City and at its former headquarters in Ortigas, Mandaluyong City starting May 26. It will accept payments for registration, filing and other fees from Monday to Friday, between 9AM and 2PM in Pasay City and 8AM and 3PM in Mandaluyong City.

The SEC will operate with a skeleton staff and continue to adopt alternative work arrangements while quarantine measures remain in place, pursuant to the Omnibus Guidelines on the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippines issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

The Commission is implementing strict social distancing and other health protocols to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. It will enforce a “no face mask, no entry” policy, disinfecting documents properly and limit the number of people allowed inside its offices, among others.

In this light, the SEC asks for patience while it works on returning to full operations. It also encourages the transacting public to utilize its online registration platforms to limit unnecessary movements amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The SEC continued to accept and process applications for the registration of corporations with at least five incorporators and partnerships online through the Company Registration System (CRS) especially those areas placed under ECQ.

In April, the Commission set up an interim online registration system to facilitate applications for one person corporations and corporations with two to four incorporators.

Applicants may access the CRS https://crs.sec.gov.ph and the interim online registration system for corporations with less than five incorporators at https://apps004.sec.gov.ph:8001/application.

The SEC also continued to accept payments for registration fees through accredited branches of the Land Bank of the Philippines during the ECQ. Meanwhile, the online payment option anchored on Landbank’s ePayment Portal remained available to applicants using the CRS.
