Typhoon Yolanda update: Signal No. 4 up in Iloilo

The province of Iloilo and the rest of Panay and Guimaras is now at Signal No. 4, according to PAGASA’s severe weather bulletin on Typhoon Yolanda issued at 5:00AM of November 8, 2013.

Typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan) has made a landfall over Guiuan, Eastern Samar at 4:00AM of today with the eye located at 62 kilometers southeast of the municipality.

PAGASA forecasts its movement 39kph west northwest with strength of 235kph near the center and gustiness of up to 275kph. It is expected to 240 kilometers northwest of Coron, Palawan by tomorrow morning and will be exiting the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday afternoon.
