There are still close to 200 vacancies to be filled up for contract tracers in Iloilo City.
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Iloilo City field office announces that they are still hiring contract tracers which will help in the COVID-19 response of the government. Iloilo City were given 246 slots out of 3,000 for the whole Western Visayas.
During the virtual meeting, Sept. 29, of the Iloilo City Peace and Order Council with mayor Jerry Treñas, who is the CPOC Chairperson, Defiño said they have already endorsed 49 applicants to the DILG VI regional office to be included in the first batch of contact tracers.
He said the first batch of the hired contact tracers will be deployed starting the first week of October until December 31, 2020.
The hiring of contact tracers is provided under the “Bayanihan to Recover as One Act or Bayanihan 2 which was signed by President Rodrigo Duterte on September 11, 2020.
Hired contact tracers, who will earn a minimum of P18,784 per month in a contract of service status, will join the existing contact tracing teams of the Iloilo City government to help in the conduct of interviews, profiling and perform an initial health risk assessment of COVID 19 positive cases and their close contacts, among others.
For qualifications, applicants must be a college graduate or college level and 21 to 45 years old. Here are the requirements:

- Diploma and transcript of record
- National Bureau of Investigation clearance
- Drug test result
