“The year 2012 was a good year for Western Visayas tourism in terms of visitor arrivals. We hope that in our joint efforts, we could do better this 2013,” she added.

Mabilog stressed the metropolis dubbed as “City of Festivals, Wellness and Culture” continues to strengthen its growing reputation as an ideal tourism destination with opening of more improved facilities, access and services to cater to visitors.

Iloilo City is an emerging Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) destination with a full range of attractions, according to DOT’s “It’s more fun in the Philippines” campaign.
“With the fast development of its tourism facilities, a reliable track record of hosting, accessibility in terms of transport and communication, modern amenities and security, Iloilo City has what companies need. But the best thing that Iloilo has to offer is the entertainment after events end. If you’re lucky, you can even join one of the city’s colorful festivals!” said website it’smorefuninthephilippines.com. Source: Iloilo City Government FB.
