Gaisano Iloilo City Center project overview and technical details

Ilonggos are excited about the construction of P12-billion, 16-hectare Gaisano Iloilo City Center in Diversion Road which is expected to be completed in 2016.

Here’s the project overview and technical details of GICC project, as posted online:

Project:Modern commercial complex with a mall, trade center, office buildings, boutiques, as well as a hospital, church, school, and an entertainment and recreation center
A 12 Billion Investment Project that will generate 10,000 jobs for Ilonggos

Total Land Area: 16 Hectares
Frontage: 155 Meters (along Diversion Road)
Roads: Pavement thickness, width and strength of Iloilo City Center roads are based on the design guidelines of the Department of Public Works and Highways.
Road Widths: 20 meters wide ESGA Avenue (A, H Streets)
15 meters wide B, D, E, F, G Streets
8 meters wide C Street
3 meters wide Hennessy Lane, S-Alley
Road Thickness: 255 mm/25.55 cm/10 inches
Road Strength: 3000 PSI

Road Elevation: 9 meters above sea level

Highest High Tide recorded was 7.5 meters Lowest Low Tide recorded 6.14 meters an allowance of 1.5 meters as to avoid floods in the property.

Water System: Water Distribution: Water will be provided by Metro Iloilo water District (MIWD)
Pipe size for water distribution line from MIWD is 200mm dia. Iloilo City Center water lines will then distribute water through 250mm to 150mm pipes.
Sewerage Line: Pipe sizes for the sewer pipes are 250, 350, 500, 600mm dia. All pipes leads to the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).

Water Drainage: Culverts ( is a structure that allows water to flow under
a road, railroad, trail, or similar obstruction, typically embedded so as to be surrounded by soil) 900mm dia. pipes 1.2 meters in depth. It is made of concrete.

Power Transmission: Electricity will be provided by Panay Electric Company (PECO)
30 MVA Substation will help generate power for Iloilo City Center businesses and residents
Electrical and Auxiliary Lines with 2.8 meters underground concrete- reinforced water-proof pipes

Unique Features:
One Kilometer Man-Made Lake or Canal De La Reyna. Width: 15meters;Depth: 3 meters
Promenade Walk Located along Canal de la Reyna. Width: 2 meters
Esplanade Located along the River Banks of Iloilo River. Width: 5 meters.

Once completed, Gaisano Iloilo City Center will generate 10,000 jobs for Ilonggos.
