Iloilo’s Paul Guarnes wins Gentlemen of the Philippines 2017

Iloilo City’s bet Paul Guarnes was named Mister Universal Ambassador Philippines 2017 after winning this year’s Gentlemen of the Philippines competition.

The 21-year-old Guarnes bested 29 other contestants all over the country to win the grand title in a coronation night held September 9, 2017 at the Hotel Rembrandt Grand Ballroom Tomas Morato Avenue Diliman, Quezon City.

He also won the Best in Formal Wear award and picked as Mr. Hannah’s Fast Track Winner.

Guarnes, a native of Pavia, Iloilo, is a deck cadet and graduate of Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation of the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University in Arevalo.

He will represent the Philippines to the Mister Universal Ambassador 2017 to be held in Indonesia next month. Here’s the complete list of winners:

Gentlemen of the Philippines searches for a group of handsome and goal-driven young men who can serve as role models to the youth. They will present themselves as unique examples of the modern Filipino-filled with country pride, talented in a variety of either performance or professional skills and capable of putting across their ambitions with dedication and clarity.

Winning candidates will represent the Philippines in international male pageants which will further solidify their respective missions abroad.
