Little Miss Hablon to highlight Miagao’s 2015 Hablon Festival

Sixteen cute and lovely little girls will vie for the inaugural Little Miss Hablon 2015 as part of the Miagao’s Hablon Festival this 2015. Check out the candidates and the full schedule of the festival below.

Hablon Festival is an annual event every first week of September which showcases the fame and grandeur of towns hand-woven cloth. This year’s festival is themed “Hablon nga Madinu-agon, Bugal sang Miag-aowanon”, and is slated on September 3-6.

The 4-day celebration features the culture and heritage of Hablon through exhibit, fashion shows, trade fairs, parades, and this year’s highlight, Little Miss Hablon 2015.

Mayor Mac Napulan and the local government of Miagao, together with international fashion designer Nono Palmos presented to Iloilo designers, media, and bloggers the following finalists:

Little Miss Hablon 2015 candidates

Candidates 1-4: Princess Ashley Nicole Mollenido, Ma. Alexy Calaor, Zirea jane Nofueto, Julia Aiko Añasco

Candidates 5-8: Tracy Clodeth Mande, Leiyan Lorane Fandagani, Arielle Gwen Caralde, Patrice Cymbeline Dalisay

Candidates 9-12: Samantha Aviene Morano, Alexandra Marie Joy Gabayeron, Francine Joy Muzones, Ma. Aina Brilliantes

Candidates 13-16: Julianne Marie Namo, Michaela Dyna Hernaez,Aileen Lee Grace Pariolo, Hazea Zhinel Sampollo

9:00 AM- Opening of Agro-Trade Fair
3:00 PM- Opening of Food Kiosk (Municipal Grounds)
4:00 PM- Nature Spring Sponsored Games (Municipal Grounds)
7:00 PM- Disco (Municipal Grounds)

September 4, 2015 (Day 2)
9:00 PM- Logo Making Contest (preparation for the Tri-centennial Foundation celebration)
2:00 PM- Float Parade
– Hablon Exhibit Contest with Teral (JRBB Hall)
4:00 PM- Opening program
– Documentary Film
7:00 PM- Talents Night of Little Miss Hablon

September 5, 2015 (Day 3)

Aside from the annual Hablon Festival, Mayor Napulan also revealed that the Miagao LGU will put up a Hablon Weaving Center at Barangay Indag-an next year to serve as a one-stop shop for tourists who wish to see everything about the heritage cloth.
