Topnotchers in Iloilo Province to get up to P40k incentives

Bright Ilonggos living in the province of Iloilo who topped the board and bar examinations will now get ‘topnotchers incentives’ from the provincial government.

Provincial Ordinance No. 2023-295 provides incentives to Ilonggos who garnered the top 10 highest places in the board examination, bar examination, and other national licensure examinations. It was authored by Vice Gov. Christine Garin.

Qualifications

Here’s how to avail of the incentives for topnotchers of the provincial government of Iloilo:
Qualified grantees must be residents of the province of Iloilo for at least six months upon submission of the application letter; active registered voters in the province of Iloilo; and belong to the top 10 highest places in the board examination of the Professional Regulation Commission, bar examination of the Supreme Court, and other national licensure examinations.

Physician Licensure Examination and Bar Examination topnotchers will receive the following:

• Top 1 – P40,000
• Top 2-5 – P20,000
• Top 6-10 – P15,000

For other Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Examination and other National Licensure Examination:

• Top 1 – P20,000
• Top 2-5 – P15,000
• Top 6-10 – P10,000

Documentary requirements:

1. One (1) valid government-issued identification card
2. Certificate of Residency issued by the Punong Barangay
3. Certification from the COMELEC stating that he or she is an active voter of his or her municipality/city in the province of Iloilo
4. Certification of any authentic proof issued by the relevant government agency stating that he/she belongs to the top 10 highest places of the board examination conducted by the PRC or board examination of the Supreme Court, and other national licensure examinations.

How to file

Topnotchers must file for incentives within three (3) months from the posting of the result of examination of the administering agency. Submit requirements to  Top 10 Incentives Committee c/o Human Resource Management and Development Office at 3rd floor of Iloilo Provincial Capitol. The committee will then validate the application and requirements, submit it to the Governor for approval, prepare and process financial documents, and then release the grand and commendation.
