“As Mayor of Iloilo City, I declare the suspension of classes from pre-school to senior high school both in private and public in the City of Iloilo on August 8. 2019.

After checking all the available data (PAGASA, windy & YR), forecast tomorrow shows we will be experiencing light to moderate at times heavy rainfall together with strong winds reaching up to 30KPH with wind gustiness reaching up to 70KPH. The City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) recommended the suspension of classes.
