Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog led the distribution of tricycle patrols to tanods in 70 barangays over the weekend.
There will be a next batch of trike patrols to be given each to complete the 180 villages in the metropolis.
“As part of our peacekeeping efforts and anti-criminality campaign, this will enhance mobility of our barangay tanods to respond faster to urgent situations. They can serve better and more efficient as force multiplier to our police to patrol our community,” said Mayor Mabilog.
The initiative seeks to bring services closer to constituents as well as complement the barangays’ peace and order improvement with their installation of closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras in their respective areas of jurisdiction. [via PNA]
