Iloilo’s homegrown GPS tracking system company launches SafeSat

Iloilo-based Satellite GPS Tracking and Asset Management System Corporation launched its innovative monitoring device SafeSat on June 28, 2014.

Satellite GPS Tracking and Asset Management System Corporation is a local-based corporation that offers Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking and monitoring solutions for all public and private transportation services, asset management of the businesses engaged in hauling, distribution, sales and marketing, and mapping revolution.

In an event held at Executive Suite of Hotel del Rio, Chairman and CEO Salvador ‘Buddy’ Silva Jr III beamed as he presented his brainchild SafeSat Telematics Device.

It’s the first device not only in the Philippines but in whole of Asia which has advanced fuel monitoring features, he stressed.

SafeSat is a fully bundled device that could help motorist in a safe and efficient vehicle navigation, as well as guide vehicle owners in terms of monitoring fuel consumption, route navigation and real time location of the vehicles which will bring more productivity to any logistics company.

The concept of SafeSat was borne out of traumatic experience Buddy had when his father died due to a road accident. Since then he advocated road safety and looked for ways to improve vehicle management and minimize accidents.

“My objective is clear: I want to make an exceptional impact to the community,” he said.

Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog delivered the welcome remarks of the launching attended by stakeholders and businessmen interested in the product.
