Civil Service Commission (CSC) has released the schedule of Civil Service Examinations for year 2020.
CSC posted on Tuesday Announcement No. 7 series of 2019 that lists the civil service exams through pen and paper tests (PPT) for next year. As usual, it includes two schedules for Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for Professional and Sub-professional levels which fall on the month of March and August.
The calendar also includes schedules of CS exams for Foreign Service Officer, Fire Officer, Penology Officer, Competency on Local Treasury, among others.
Here’s the schedule:
The first batch of CSE-PPT for Professional and Sub-professional levels will be on March 15, 2020 with Application Period starting from December 16, 2019 to January 15, 2020.
Second batch will be on August 9, 2020 and Application will be open from May 11, 2020 to June 10, 2020.
Career Service Examination For Foreign Service Officer (CSE-FSO) will be on February 2, 2020, with Application Period from October 11, 2019 to November 25, 2019.
On June 21, 2020, there will be Fire Officer Examination (FOE), Penology Officer Examination (PEO), and Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE). Application period is from March 31 to April 30, 2020.
On October 11, 2020, there will be Intermediate Competency on Local Treasure Examination (ICLTE), Pre-Employment Test, Promotional Test, and Ethics Oriented Personality Test (EOPT). Application period is from July 21 to August 20, 2020.

Except for CSE-FSO, the CSC will issue individual examination announcements at least one week before the start of the application period. These announcements will include testing centers, qualification and admission requirements, application requirements, scope of examination, where to get and file application forms;
Testing venue, things to bring and important reminders on exam day, passing grade and release of test results, and resulting civil service eligibility and issuance of the certification of eligibility, as applicable.
Also, CSC usually issues examination advisory at least one or two weeks before the examination day for reiteration of important reminders.
